• We have used D. Best construction on two major projects in our house-: an upgrade in two bathrooms (plus the addition of splits , new stair railings and ceiling fans) was the first project and the second project , done last winter, was an upgrade/new kitchen. We were so happy with all their work. They were excellent at every part of the job. They came in on budget and they finished the work on time. They are excellent carpenters and work with great plumbers and electricians. They are very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. • We have been planning a special "home makeover" for two decades. We knew that D. Best Construction had tackled some large commercial projects on Martha’s Vineyard (St. Andrews Church and the Sweet Life Restaurant) but we were not aware that they handled residential projects like ours. Doug’s active involvement in the community and his positive relations with the various agencies regulating building activities on the Island made the project go more smoothly. Their overall pricing itemization and billing is perfect down to a T. Personality-wise, they have a great attitude and a great crew. • Just a note of appreciation for our new addition! The new spaces are lovely.  They have also been thoroughly tested by two hordes of children and grandchildren and there is such nice flow and space throughout the house. The gear room under the stairs has been a godsend for keeping all the beach supplies in order and the new outdoor shower roof looks so nice and has added extra privacy for countless showers. Special thanks to Debra for the all the design details that let the spaces communicate so well and to Best and Co for such careful and lovely construction.  We love it!
