Being a part of the community means being involved in its many organizations, from both a physical and financial perspective. The following are organizations in which we participate and support.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
D. Best Construction has been a long-standing member of our active Chamber of Commerce.
Doug and D. Best Construction has been a major donor and supporter of the YMCA of MV since its inception. Doug has served for over 8 years as the Treasurer, Board member and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He currently serves as an ex-officio Board Member and Member of the Finance Committee.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD BUILDERS ASSSOCIATION
Doug serves on the Board as the Vice President and chairs the Membership Committe. Lisa, our office manager, serves as the secretary of the organization. Many of our staff and subcontractors are also involved.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD
For many years D. Best Construction has supported the organization by providing donations and services in assisting with their efforts
The company has recently assisted in their major effort to renovate the Hanover House which will provide much-needed affordable housing to Martha's Vineyard Hospital staff.
